The infrastructure of Danish roads are pretty much as safe as they can be – but accidents still happens. To improve safety we need to get inside the cars and inside the minds of drivers as well. In the fall 2011 we helped The Danish Road Directorate get a little closer to the reality of driver behavior.

The principles are pretty simple: Take data from the people on the road and give it back to them curated in a way which leads to reflection: “What would it look like if I saw myself driving”. A basic engaging and learning feedback loop. We chose in car video-surveillance because we know moving pictures are easy to ‘decode’ and very mobilizing. And the project was quite a success as our little video shows:
